These are two lampshades I made recently from an old crochet tablecloth. I PVA'ed them onto forms with a lampshade fitting inset into the top. I had been keeping an eye open for some really round balloons - and whilst cruising Ebay found some at last. So that set me off making these. Think it's a great way to give a new lease of life to a beautiful handmade tablecloth. And it's now forever 'up in lights' !!!
Best wishes to you.

ReplyDeleteThanks Jone - actually you have been truly inspirational in your enthusiasm and energy for the last couple of years. I have been so grateful time and again to be able to log onto Pantryviolets and see all the lovely messages and things people are doing with each other and for each other. The delight expressed on this blog is so uplifting. And I feel I'm just about out from under the cloud that descended so suddenly two years ago. Ex is getting re-married in two months - and I am now finally feeling excited about the new life ahead for me - thank you all so much for sharing your joys. XXXXXXX
ReplyDeleteI agree with you about the positive energy that exudes from the blog. We are such lucky people to have friends and creative colleagues so far away...and yet so close through this technology.....yippee!
ReplyDeleteWish I was to be at Briancon this fall with you and others at Julie's course. I will be there in spirit and will look forward to the next time we can make it happen!
