The finery of these birds reminds me of the Royal Wedding in London yesterday.....
Did everyone see it? What a Fairy Tale. Can you imagine being the commoner who becomes the Princess and maybe the Queen? It is overwhelming to me.....and I am not British and don't really understand the whole monarchy thing. I am fascinated, though, and love a good love story.
Ahhhhh, the hats and the clothes - beautiful!
Thanks Jone - had a very nice time - popped on a frock, had afternoon tea... went home and changed into something warmer and then ventured out again for a celebratory cocktail! Twas indeed lovely there was such a wonderful celebratory feel about the day - hard to believe it wasn't all just for me. Love the peacocks - such regal birds. There are some very haughty ones in Holland Park - they actually block the paths on purpose so you have to watch them display - and lovely it is too.
ReplyDeleteHI JONE! LOVE THE PEACOCKS, MY FRIEND PENNY USED TO HAVE A NEIGHBOUR WHO KEPT A COUPLE - THEY MAKE A FAIR OLD RACKET AND SHE WASNT SOOO FOND OF THEM AS HER VISITORS WERE!
ReplyDeleteI LOVED THE ROYAL WEDDING AND IM NOT REALLY A ROYALIST EITHER BUT I LOVE A GOOD PROCESSION AND CAN THERE BE TOOOO MANY MEN IN UNIFORMS TO LOOK AT? I ESPECIALLY LOVED 'JERUSALEM' BEING SUNG IN THE SERVICE - MAKE A GIRL FEEL QUITE PATRIOTIC. ALL IN ALL WITH THE EXTRA DAY OFF IT WAS A GRAND DAY AND ITS REFRESHING TO SEE A COUPLE OF ROYALS LOOKING SO HAPPY. QUITE A FASHION PARADE TOO - IS MRS BECKHAM UNABLE TO SMILE?? XXDI
