Jodie thank you for your blog. We are clearly all doing things. I have been working with a group of kids after school and they are making fantastic things, I am just so thrilled with their imaginations. Look at this horse!
What a fabulous horse - they must have been so proud of their little pony! I have given many children little 'kits' of buttons, scrap fabrics and trims whenever they seemed to be interested in sewing and making. It's a special moment when their mums say they how much pleasure they get from their creations. My stepdaughter also recently said how proud she was to be able to 'save the day' when sleeves needed shortening on a film shoot. Everyone was real impressed at her sewing skills apparently. I can see how much fun everyone has been having after school with you - and I bet one day they'll impress someone with their unexpected sewing skills too and think of you (even if it's when sewing on a button in a hotel room!).
